Why is Harmless Harvest Harmless® Coconut Water pink?
Our Coconut Water is totally clear when we bottle it and only afterwards do some bottles turn pink due to varying levels of antioxidants and interaction with elements, such as light. We do not use thermal pasteurisation to process our coconut water or acidify our coconut water (by addition of ingredients like ascorbic acid), so it has a tendency to turn a pink hue. It’s natural, so we embrace it.

How long is my bottle of Harmless Harvest® Coconut Water good to drink after I open it?
As long as it is kept in refrigerated conditions, the water is good for 5 days after opening.

How is Harmless Harvest® USDA Organic?
Our products are certified organic according to the USDA NOP standards. This certifies that our products are made without persistent pesticides, synthetic fertilisers or sewage sludge. It also means our coconuts are never irradiated or produced with GMOs.

Our coconuts are young Thailand Nam Hom coconuts from the Samut Sakhon region. Read more about our standards.

Do Harmless Harvest® products need to be refrigerated?
Our coconut water and coconut water-based beverages should be stored refrigerated to maintain product quality up to the Best By date printed on the bottle.

Can I drink Harmless Harvest® if I’m pregnant?
We take every precaution in making our products safe, as well as delicious. The microfiltration system we have adopted removes all bacteria and produces a commercially sterile product; all listeria and pathogenic bacteria is removed. However, it is important to follow your doctor’s recommendations about any dietary restrictions.

When will my order arrive?
Orders are processed Mondays through Thursdays, and orders placed before 11am Central time will be shipped the day they are received. We are currently experiencing high order volumes and orders may take additional time to process. We will notify you with a tracking number when it has shipped, and packages typically arrive within 48 hours of shipment.

Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?
Nope. We just recommend getting those bottles in the fridge as soon as you can.

Get those bottles in your fridge! Your coconut water should be refrigerated asap to ensure quality and taste. Please consume by the date printed on the bottle.

Can Harmless Harvest deliver to a P.O. Box?
Unfortunately, we cannot delivery to P.O. Boxes at this time.

How are my items shipped?

Sometimes as a result, and especially when it’s colder outside, you’ll receive the product still in a frozen state. Harmless Harvest Coconut Water can be safely thawed in your refrigerator, and it’s the same lightly sweet and refreshing Coconut Water you’re accustomed to when purchasing from your local market. And since your Coconut Water has been kept extra cold, it may not have turned pink yet. Our Coconut Water is clear when bottled, and turns pink over time due to varying levels of antioxidants and interaction with elements, such as light. An extra cool temperature can delay this pinking process.

As we increase our efforts as a company to reduce waste and limit our carbon footprint, we ship our organic Coconut Water out frozen to avoid using excess packaging and ice packs. Sometimes as a result, and especially when it’s colder outside, you’ll receive the product still in a frozen state. Harmless Harvest Coconut Water can be safely thawed in your refrigerator, and it’s the same lightly sweet and refreshing Coconut Water you’re accustomed to when purchasing from your local market. And since your Coconut Water has been kept extra cold, it may not have turned pink yet. Our Coconut Water is clear when bottled, and turns pink over time due to varying levels of antioxidants and interaction with elements, such as light. An extra cool temperature can delay this pinking process. Once thawed, make sure to shake your bottle before consuming for the best experience!

My shipment arrived and the bottles are not cold. Is it still safe to drink?
We've spent years perfecting a unique filtration process to keep our coconut water tasting distinctly crisp and fragrant. This process makes it safe to ship non-refrigerated, but we do recommend refrigerating as soon as you receive your shipment to ensure optimal quality and taste. If your coconut water is left at ambient temperature for more than a few days, the product may start to age more quickly than when refrigerated which will impact the taste, so it’s most important to make sure the product is consumed before the best by date printed on the bottle.

Why is the coconut water clear?

Subscribers save 10% OFF and enjoy FREE shipping on each order. Select the frequency you’d like for your coconut water deliveries – every 14, 30 or 45 days. 3 days before your order processes, you’ll receive an email reminder about your subscription. When will I receive my subscription?
Orders are processed Monday-Thursdays, and subscriptions will be processed each month on the date that you first purchased (and in the case of Friday or weekend, on the following Monday). Shipments are sent out within 24 hours of processing, and most orders are delivered within 48 hours of shipment.
You’ll receive an email reminder three days before your order processes each month, a confirmation email when your order processes, and a follow up email with a tracking number once it is out for shipment.

How do I earn and redeem Harvest Coins?
There are many ways to earn rewards which can be found here: To spend your coins, you must be signed-in to your Harmless Harvest account. When you’re ready to spend your coins, you’ll need to add an item to your cart and then apply the redemption code by copying and pasting it from the Using Your Harvest Coins section. Your Harvest Coins and rewards status are valid for up to a calendar year after you join. If you make a return on an item that you originally purchased using Harvest Coins, your coins will be refunded back to your account.

What are the different levels of the Harmless Bunch, and how do they work?
The Harmless Bunch has three different levels: A Little Nutty, Super Nutty, and Totally Nuts.
Each level of the Harmless Bunch is determined by the number of total coins you have earned on eligible purchases and through qualifying activities, beginning on the date when you enroll. There are three levels with associated benefits:
A Little Nutty: 0 - 399 coins
Super Nutty: 400 – 799 coins
Totally Nuts: 800+ coins
Once you have progressed to the next level, you will remain at that level, even if you redeem enough coins to drop below the required level. Please review the Harmless Bunch Benefits section for a breakdown of the benefits offered at each level of our loyalty program. For example, if you accumulate 800 coins and then redeem 300 of those coins, you are still in the Totally Nuts level.
However, you can lose your coins and status by being inactive in the program for one calendar year. -

How do I refer-a-friend or family member?
To make a referral via our Refresh-A-Friend program, it’s best if you are logged into your Rewards account but you can refer friends without being logged in. You will then be able to input a friend’s email to send a referral link. Referred friends must purchase their items through the direct link provided to ensure you both receive referral benefits. Once the order is complete, a notification will be sent via email providing referral rewards in Harvest Coins. Referral discounts are for new, first-time customers only. However, you may refer as many new customers as you like.

Do I need to have a Rewards account to refer someone via Refresh-A-Friend?
No, you don't need an account to refer a friend. Simply add your email address and your friends' email addresses. Once your friend(s) places an order through your referral link, you'll receive an email with 100 Harvest Coins. Then, you can create an account and use your coins as a discount for purchase.

How do I apply a referral discount?

Instead of hiding this natural variation by adding Vitamin C or Ascorbic Acid, we choose to embrace it. Pink or Clear – They’re both delicious!

Why are the bottles more uniform in their pink colour now when I used to see some clear bottles?
Different crops/seasons may have varying levels of antioxidants, and our micro-filtration process mixes water from multiple coconuts/crops into a single batch – which may result in more bottles being uniform in color. It also extended the shelf life of our products, which could result in additional interaction with elements, such as light, at your local retailer.

Is Harmless Harvest® coconut water raw?
We are proud that we never thermally pasteurize our product, which means it’s as close to getting the water directly from a coconut. We use a proprietary multi-step micro-filtration process to extend shelf life in refrigerated conditions.

Is sugar added to Harmless Harvest® Coconut Water?
Nothing is added to our coconut water. The 14g of sugar in each serving are naturally occurring. Some people do think the unique coconuts we source are sweeter than those found in other parts of the world, contributions of the texture, fragrance, and proprietary methods of bottling.

How is your dairy-free yogurt alternative made?
Our Coconut Yogurt Alternative starts with freshly scooped meat from Thai Young coconuts – the same ones we harvest our water. We make it the traditional way, with live and active cultures, giving our yogurt alternative its smooth and creamy texture.

This product contains coconut as the only major allergen. It’s processed at a non-dairy facility that also processes soy and tree nuts. The facility follows rigorous manufacturing practices with thorough cleaning and testing to ensure no cross-contamination occurs.

What are MCTs?
“MCTs” are medium-chain triglycerides, a form of saturated fatty acid. Certain saturated fats, especially MCTs, are in fact easier to digest and convert into an energy source than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs).

What are probiotics?
Probiotics are microorganisms that are believed to provide health benefits when consumed in adequate quantities and help support the naturally occurring microflora in our bodies. Your digestive tract has been exposed to a steady stream of bacteria – some helpful, some harmful. One key to intestinal health is maintaining a balance of these helpful and harmful bacteria. Over time, many factors including diet, aging, antibiotic use, travel, medications, illness, stress, and hormonal changes, can disrupt intestinal balance. Probiotics help level the playing field of good and bad bacteria.
While there are a number of bacteria that are believed to provide benefits, only strains that have undergone controlled studies documenting the benefits may be called probiotics. Probiotics have been shown to help support digestive health and help maintain healthy immune systems depending of the specific strain consumed. -
What are the benefits of probiotics?
Probiotics help to support proper function of nutrients and better absorption of nutrients. They also help to support healthy digestion.

How many CFUs are in the Dairy-Free Yogurt Drink?
Probiotics are measured by CFUs. CFU is short for colony-forming unit. In microbiology, a colony-forming unit (CFU) is a unit used to estimate the number of viable bacteria or fungal cells in a sample.
Our product has 10 billion CFUs at the time of manufacture in an 8 fl. oz. bottle. From a technical standpoint, comparing the culture count to other probiotic products is not a good comparison since different probiotic strains are effective at different levels. -
How is the Dairy-Free Yogurt Drink made?
After extracting the coconut water, the coconut meat is hand scooped and trimmed to prepare it for milling into a fine puree. The puree is then combined with coconut water and pasteurized before adding vegan yogurt cultures to ferment into a refreshing probiotic beverage.

Is the product pasteurized?
Unlike our coconut water, the dairy-free yogurt drink is pasteurized. Similar to dairy-based beverages, pasteurization is required to ensure food safe quality of the final product. However, we take care to guarantee we preserve the delicious natural flavors from our coconut meat and coconut water. Our product is pasteurized before adding the vegan yogurt cultures. This pasteurization step allows for a clean environment for the vegan yogurt cultures to ferment and thrive.

How do the cultures live through pasteurization?
Like milk yogurt, the base is pasteurized prior to fermentation. Adding the cultures after pasteurization allows them to thrive. Once the fermentation is completed, the beverage is immediately cooled to stop the fermentation then bottled.

Is your product Kosher? And how is KSA D certification different from just KSA?
We are Kosher certified by KSA and are considered KSA-D. Although we are a vegan product, we are manufactured in a facility that handles dairy and so we are considered KSA-D. However, we have rigorous processes and testing in place to ensure we do not have any dairy contamination in our products.

Each bottle of our Yerba Mate Tea with Coconut Water has around 90mg of caffeine- slightly less than your typical cup of coffee but perfect for a little afternoon pick me up.

It sure does! Both our Single Origin Coffee with Coconut Water and Yerba Mate Tea with Coconut Water use our crisp, refreshing, and hydrating coconut water as a base.

This means they can be non-refrigerated during the shipping process, but should be popped in the fridge upon receipt to ensure quality and taste, until ready to consume by the date printed on each individual bottle.
If the products in your Sips Sampler arrive warm, or still partially frozen, that’s okay! Please store in the fridge until ready to consume, and shake well before opening.
